तमाविशत्तदा विष्णुर्भगवांस्तेजसा प्रभुः ।। उत्तंकस्य नियोगाद्वै लोकानां हितकाम्यया ।। २६ ।।

sanskrit

At the approach of Uttaṅka and for the benefit of the worlds, lord Viṣṇu entered him with his splendour.

english translation

tamAvizattadA viSNurbhagavAMstejasA prabhuH || uttaMkasya niyogAdvai lokAnAM hitakAmyayA || 26 ||

तस्मिन्प्रयाते दुर्द्धर्षे दिवि शब्दो महानभूत् ।। एष श्रीमान्नृपसुतो धुन्धुमारो भविष्यति ।। २७ ।।

sanskrit

When the invincible Kuvalāśva started there was a loud shout in the heaven. “This glorious prince will slay Dhundhu.”

english translation

tasminprayAte durddharSe divi zabdo mahAnabhUt || eSa zrImAnnRpasuto dhundhumAro bhaviSyati || 27 ||

दिव्यैर्माल्यैश्च तं देवास्समंतात्समवारयन् ।। प्रशंसां चक्रिरे तस्य जय जीवेति वादिनः ।। २८।।

sanskrit

The gods surrounded him with garlands of flowers. They praised him saying “Be victorious, Be long-lived.”

english translation

divyairmAlyaizca taM devAssamaMtAtsamavArayan || prazaMsAM cakrire tasya jaya jIveti vAdinaH || 28||

स गत्वा जयतां श्रेष्ठस्तनयैस्सह पार्थिवः ।। समुद्रं खनयामास वालुकार्णवमध्यतः ।। २९।।

sanskrit

The most excellent among the victorious, the king went there accompanied by his sons. He caused an ocean to be dug in the midst of that vast expanse of sand.

english translation

sa gatvA jayatAM zreSThastanayaissaha pArthivaH || samudraM khanayAmAsa vAlukArNavamadhyataH || 29||

नारायणस्य विप्रर्षेस्तेजसाप्यायितस्तु सः।। बभूव सुमहातेजा भूयो बलसमन्वितः।। ३०।।

sanskrit

O brahminical sage, heightened in strength by the splendour of Viṣṇu he became very brilliant and stronger.

english translation

nArAyaNasya viprarSestejasApyAyitastu saH|| babhUva sumahAtejA bhUyo balasamanvitaH|| 30||
