पत्या तेन गृहं प्रायात्स्वं सती मुदितानना ॥ मुमुदातेऽथ तौ प्रीत्या दंपतो पूर्वतोधिकम् ॥ ३६ ॥
The chaste lady returned to the house with her husband with the face beaming with pleasure. The pair rejoiced more than before.
english translation
patyA tena gRhaM prAyAtsvaM satI muditAnanA ॥ mumudAte'tha tau prItyA daMpato pUrvatodhikam ॥ 36 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयमस्तु कर्मणा तेन भृशं पीडितमानसः ॥ धर्मेण रंजयामास धर्मराज इमा प्रजाः ॥ ३७ ॥
This incident distressed the mind of Yama. As pious king he gladdened the subjects virtuously.

yamastu karmaNA tena bhRzaM pIDitamAnasaH ॥ dharmeNa raMjayAmAsa dharmarAja imA prajAH ॥ 37 ॥

Yama of great lustre attained the lordship of the names and the guardianship of the quarters.

lebhe sa karmaNA tena dharmarAjo mahAdyutiH ॥ pitRRNAmAdhipatyaM ca lokapAlatvameva ca ॥ 38॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमनुः प्रजापतिस्त्वासीत्सावर्णिस्स तपोधनः ॥ भाव्यः स कर्मणा तेन मनोस्सावर्णिकेंतरे ॥ ३९ ॥
Sāvarṇi Manu became the patriarch. In the Sāvarṇika Manvantara he will become the future Manu by virtue of his action.

manuH prajApatistvAsItsAvarNissa tapodhanaH ॥ bhAvyaH sa karmaNA tena manossAvarNikeMtare ॥ 39 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमेरुपृष्ठे तपो घोरमद्यापि चरते प्रभुः ॥ यवीयसी तयोर्या तु यमी कन्या यशस्विनी ॥ ४० ॥
The lord is still performing severe austerities on the summit of mount Meru The younger of the two was the illustrious daughter of Yami.
