॥ सनत्कुमार उवाच ॥ तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा कृष्णः प्रांजलिरादरात् ॥ प्राह सर्वेश्वरं शम्भुं सुप्रणम्य पुनः पुनः ॥ २१ ॥
Sanatkumāra said:— On hearing his words Kṛṣṇa spoke to Śiva the lord of all, respectfully, with palms joined in reverence, after bowing to him again and again.
english translation
॥ कृष्ण उवाच ॥ देवदेव महादेव याचेऽहं ह्युत्तमान्वरान् ॥ त्वत्तोऽष्टप्रमितान्नाथ त्वयोद्दिष्टान्महेश्वर ॥ २२ ॥
Kṛṣṇa said:— O lord Śiva, lord of the gods, I solicit eight excellent boons from you, O Maheśvara, you have already thought of them.
english translation
तव धर्म्मे मतिर्नित्यं यशश्चाप्रचलं महत् ॥ त्वत्सामीप्यं स्थिरा भक्तिस्त्वयि नित्यं ममास्त्विति ॥ २३ ॥
Your fixation on righteousness is constant and your great fame is unshakable May I always have steady devotion to You in Your presence.

पुत्राणि च दशाद्यानां पुत्राणां मम संतु वै ॥ वध्याश्च रिपवस्सर्वे संग्रामे बलदर्पिताः ॥ २४ ॥
May I have ten sons and other sons. All the enemies proud of their strength in battle were to be killed.

अपमानो भवेन्नैव क्वचिन्मे शत्रुतः प्रभो ॥ योगिनामपि सर्वेषां भवेयमतिवल्लभः ॥ २५॥
May I never be insulted by my enemies, O Lord. I shall be very dear to all the yogis.
