श्रीकृष्णः प्रांजलिर्दृष्ट्वा विस्मयोत्फुल्ललोचनः ॥ ईदृशं शंकरं प्रीतः प्रणनाम महोत्सवः ॥ १६ ॥
Lord Krishna looked at him with folded hands and his eyes widened in wonder. Pleased with such Lord Śiva the great festival bowed down to him.
english translation
नानाविधैः स्तुतिपदैर्वाङ्मयेनार्चयत्तदा ॥ सहस्रनाम्ना देवेशं तुष्टाव नतकंधरः ॥ १७ ॥
He worshipped him with different hymns. With drooping shoulders he eulogised the lord of gods with the thousand names.
english translation
ततो देवास्सगंधर्वा विद्याधरमहोरगाः ॥ मुमुचुः पुष्पवृष्टिं च साधुवादान्मनोनुगान् ॥ १८ ॥
Thus the gods, Gandharvas, Vidyādharas and the great serpents showered flowers and congratulated him delightfully.
english translation
पार्वत्याश्च मुखं दृष्ट्वा भगवान्भक्तवत्सलः ॥ उवाच केशवं तुष्टो रुद्रश्चाथ बिडौजसा ॥ १९ ॥
Glancing at Pārvatī’s face the delighted lord Rudra, favourably disposed towards his devotees spoke to Keśava even as his splendour spread all round.
english translation
श्रीमहादेव उवाच ॥ कृष्णं जानामि भक्तं त्वां मयि नित्यं दृढव्रतम् ॥ वृणीष्व त्वं वरान्मत्तः पुण्यांस्त्रैलोक्यदुर्लभान् ॥ २० ॥
Lord Śiva said:— O Kṛṣṇa, I know you are my staunch devotee, steady in my rites. Choose holy boons from me even if they be inaccessible to the people of the three worlds.
