धारणायां सदा तिष्ठेज्जरामृत्युजिघांसया ॥ योगी योगरतः सम्यग्धारणाध्यानतत्परः ॥ ६ ॥
With a desire to prevent old age and death, the Yogin engaged in the practice of Yoga, meditation and retention shall stay in the state of Dhāraṇā.
english translation
dhAraNAyAM sadA tiSThejjarAmRtyujighAMsayA ॥ yogI yogarataH samyagdhAraNAdhyAnatatparaH ॥ 6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलोहकारो यथा भस्त्रामापूर्य्य मुखतो मुने ॥ साधयेद्वायुना कर्म तद्वद्योगी समभ्यसेत् ॥ ७ ॥
O sage, the blacksmith blows air into the bellows and does his job by means of the wind. The Yogin shall also practise similarly.
english translation
lohakAro yathA bhastrAmApUryya mukhato mune ॥ sAdhayedvAyunA karma tadvadyogI samabhyaset ॥ 7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदेवस्सहस्रके नेत्रपादहस्तसहस्रकः ॥ ग्रंथीन्हि सर्वमावृत्य सोऽग्रे तिष्ठेद्दशांगुलम् ॥ ८ ॥
The lord of thousands, the lord of thousand eyes, hands and feet encompasses the universe and stands ten Aṅgulas above.
english translation
devassahasrake netrapAdahastasahasrakaH ॥ graMthInhi sarvamAvRtya so'gre tiSTheddazAMgulam ॥ 8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगायत्रीं शिरसा सार्द्धं जपेद्व्याहृतिपूर्विकाम् ॥ त्रिवारमायतप्राणाः प्राणायामस्स उच्यते ॥ ९॥
Holding the breath one shall repeat the Gāyatrī Mantra along with his Śiras (Oṃ) and Vyāhṛtis thrice. That is called Prāṇāyāma.
english translation
gAyatrIM zirasA sArddhaM japedvyAhRtipUrvikAm ॥ trivAramAyataprANAH prANAyAmassa ucyate ॥ 9॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगतागता निवर्तंते चन्द्रसूर्यादयो ग्रहाः ॥ अद्यापि न निवर्तंते योगध्यानपरायणाः ॥ १० ॥
Planets like the sun and the moon ate evolved and dissolved. But those who are devoted to Yoga and meditation do not return still.
english translation
gatAgatA nivartaMte candrasUryAdayo grahAH ॥ adyApi na nivartaMte yogadhyAnaparAyaNAH ॥ 10 ॥
