दृष्ट्वा तां सुन्दरीं पद्मामुवाच स वृषो विभुः ।। विज्ञातुं भावमन्तःस्थं तस्याश्च मुनियोषितः ।। 2.3.35.१० ।।

sanskrit

He was in the prime of fresh youth, glorious and lustrous like the cupid. On seeing Padmā he spoke thus, in order to know the innermost feelings of the sage’s wife.

english translation

dRSTvA tAM sundarIM padmAmuvAca sa vRSo vibhuH || vijJAtuM bhAvamantaHsthaM tasyAzca muniyoSitaH || 2.3.35.10 ||
