।। ब्रह्मोवाच ।। इति देववचः श्रुत्वा प्रददौ कर्णयोः करम् ।। न स्वीचकार स गुरुस्स्मरन्नाम शिवेति च ।।१२।।

sanskrit

Brahmā said: On hearing these words of the gods, the preceptor of the gods, plugged his ears with his hands. He did not accept the proposal of the gods. He remembered the name “Śiva”.

english translation

|| brahmovAca || iti devavacaH zrutvA pradadau karNayoH karam || na svIcakAra sa gurussmarannAma ziveti ca ||12||
