ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इत्युक्ते देवदेवेन पार्वती मुदमाप सा ॥ तपोजातं तु यत्कष्टं तज्जहौ च पुरातनम् ॥ ४९ ॥
Brahmā said: When the lord of the gods spoke in this way, Pārvatī rejoiced. Whatever distress she had felt during penance she cast off as something old.
