दर्शनार्थं शिवस्यादौ यथा गच्छति देवराट्॥ भूतादयस्तत्परस्य द्वारपालाश्शिवस्य तु॥१३॥

sanskrit

Just as the king of the gods (Indra) goes first to have a vision (audience) of Shiva, In the same way, beings like the Bhūtas (elemental spirits) are the gatekeepers of that Supreme One, Shiva.

english translation

darzanArthaM zivasyAdau yathA gacchati devarAT॥ bhUtAdayastatparasya dvArapAlAzzivasya tu॥13॥
