॥ ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इत्याकर्ण्य नीनां तु विज्ञप्तिं करुणानिधिः ॥ प्रोवाच विहसन्प्रीत्या प्रोत्फुल्लनयनाम्बुजः ॥ १२ ॥

sanskrit

Brahmā said: On hearing the words of the sages, lord Śiva, the storehouse of sympathy spoke lovingly and laughingly with eyes beaming like full-blown lotus.

english translation

॥ brahmovAca ॥ ityAkarNya nInAM tu vijJaptiM karuNAnidhiH ॥ provAca vihasanprItyA protphullanayanAmbujaH ॥ 12 ॥
