स्वात्मानमात्मना शंभुरात्मन्येव व्यचिंतयत् ॥ निरंजनं निराभासं निर्विकारं निरामयम् ॥ ३१ ॥
Śambhu (Śiva) contemplated his own Self by his Self alone — pure, without illusion, changeless, and free from all afflictions.
english translation
परात्परतरं नित्यं निर्ममं निरवग्रहम् ॥ शब्दातीतं निर्गुणं च ज्ञानगम्यं परात्परम् ॥ ३२ ॥
That which is higher than the highest, eternal, without ego or possessiveness, ungraspable, beyond words, attributeless, knowable only through pure knowledge — that is the Supreme beyond all.
english translation
एवं स्वरूपं परमं चिंतयन् ध्यानमास्थितः ॥ परमानंदसंमग्नो बभूव बहुसूतिकृत् ॥ ३३ ॥
Thus meditating upon that supreme nature, he entered into deep meditation, became immersed in supreme bliss, and became the source of many creations.

ध्यानस्थितं च सर्वेशं दृष्ट्वा सर्वे दिवौकसः ॥ हरि शक्रादयस्सर्वे नंदिनं प्रोचुरानताः ॥ ३४ ॥
On seeing Śiva again engaged in meditation all the dwellers of heaven, Viṣṇu, Indra and others, humbly told Nandin.

॥ देवा ऊचुः ॥ किं वयं करवामाद्य विरक्तो ध्यानमास्थितः ॥ शंभुस्त्वं शंकर सखस्सर्वज्ञः शुचिसेवकः ॥ ३५ ॥
The gods said: What shall we do now? Śiva has become detached and has gone on meditation. You are a companion of Śiva and pure assistant. You are omniscient.
