।। ब्रह्मोवाच ।। विष्णोस्तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा सर्व ऊचुस्सुरादयः ।। महाभीता हठात् क्रुद्धाद्दग्धुकामात् लयंकरात् ।। ३५ ।।

sanskrit

Brahmā said: On hearing those words of Viṣṇu, the gods and the rest became excessively afraid of Śiva, the furious, the annihilator and the one desirous of burning everything.

english translation

|| brahmovAca || viSNostadvacanaM zrutvA sarva UcussurAdayaH || mahAbhItA haThAt kruddhAddagdhukAmAt layaMkarAt || 35 ||
