॥ ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ विष्णोस्तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा सर्व ऊचुस्सुरादयः ॥ महाभीता हठात् क्रुद्धाद्दग्धुकामात् लयंकरात् ॥ ३५ ॥

sanskrit

Brahmā said: On hearing those words of Viṣṇu, the gods and the rest became excessively afraid of Śiva, the furious, the annihilator and the one desirous of burning everything.

english translation

॥ brahmovAca ॥ viSNostadvacanaM zrutvA sarva UcussurAdayaH ॥ mahAbhItA haThAt kruddhAddagdhukAmAt layaMkarAt ॥ 35 ॥
