देवा ऊचुः ।। त्वया सृष्टमिदं सर्वं जगदेतच्चराचरम् ।। संतप्तमति कस्माद्वै न ज्ञातं कारणं विभो।।२४।।

sanskrit

The gods said: O lord, the whole of this universe consisting of the mobile and immobile has been created by you. Why is it scorched so much? We do not understand.

english translation

devA UcuH || tvayA sRSTamidaM sarvaM jagadetaccarAcaram || saMtaptamati kasmAdvai na jJAtaM kAraNaM vibho||24||
