नारद उवाच ॥ ॥ विधे नेत्रसमुद्भूतवह्निज्वाला हरस्य सा ॥ गता कुत्र वद त्वं तच्चरित्रं शशिमौलिनः ॥ १ ॥

sanskrit

Nārada said: O Brahmā, please tell me “Where did the flame of fire emerging from the eye of Śiva go?” Please tell me also the further story of the moon-crested lord.

english translation

nArada uvAca ॥ ॥ vidhe netrasamudbhUtavahnijvAlA harasya sA ॥ gatA kutra vada tvaM taccaritraM zazimaulinaH ॥ 1 ॥
