शिववीर्यसमुत्पन्नः पुत्रस्सेनापतिर्यदा ॥ भूत्वा शस्त्रं क्षिपेन्मह्यं तदा मे मरणं भवेत् ॥ ४१ ॥
If a son born of Śiva becomes the commander-inchief of an army and discharges weapons against me, let my death occur then.
english translation
zivavIryasamutpannaH putrassenApatiryadA ॥ bhUtvA zastraM kSipenmahyaM tadA me maraNaM bhavet ॥ 41 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइत्युक्तोऽथ तदा तेन दैत्येनाहं मुनीश्वर॥ वरं च तादृशं दत्त्वा स्वलोकमगमं द्रुतम्॥४२॥
O excellent sage, thus requested by that demon, I granted him two boons and hastened back to my abode.
english translation
ityukto'tha tadA tena daityenAhaM munIzvara॥ varaM ca tAdRzaM dattvA svalokamagamaM drutam॥42॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदैत्योऽपि स वरं लब्ध्वा मनसेप्सितमुत्तमम्॥ सुप्रसन्नोतरो भूत्वा शोणिताख्यपुरं गतः॥४३॥
Securing the excellent boon in accordance with his cherished desire, the demon was very glad and went to the town Śoṇita.
english translation
daityo'pi sa varaM labdhvA manasepsitamuttamam॥ suprasannotaro bhUtvA zoNitAkhyapuraM gataH॥43॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअभिषिक्तस्तदा राज्ये त्रैलोक्यस्यासुरैस्सह॥ शुक्रेण दैत्यगुरुणाज्ञया मे स महासुरः ॥४४॥
That great demon was crowned the king of the three worlds with the permission of Śukra, the preceptor of the demons.

abhiSiktastadA rAjye trailokyasyAsuraissaha॥ zukreNa daityaguruNAjJayA me sa mahAsuraH ॥44॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततस्तु स महादैत्योऽभवस्त्रैलोक्यनायकः ॥ स्वाज्ञां प्रवर्तयामास पीडयन्सचराचरम्॥४५॥
Then the great demon became the leader of the three worlds. He inaugurated his commanding position by harassing the mobile and immobile beings.
