सृगालोलूकटंकारैर्वमन्त्यो मुखतोऽनलम् ॥ अंतर्ग्रामेषु विकटं प्रणेदुरशिवाश्शिवाः ॥ 2.3.15.१० ॥

Within villages, inauspicious vixens howled hideously vomitting fires; as it were, through their mouths along with the hissing and twanging sounds of the hootings and howlings of owls and jackals.

english translation

sRgAlolUkaTaMkArairvamantyo mukhato'nalam ॥ aMtargrAmeSu vikaTaM praNedurazivAzzivAH ॥ 2.3.15.10 ॥
