वज्रांगस्तु तदा प्रीतं मां दृष्ट्वा स्थितं विभुम् ॥ सुप्रणम्य बहुस्तुत्वा वरं वव्रे प्रियाहितम् ॥ ४१ ॥
On seeing me in the firmament in the pleasant mood he worshipped and eulogised me as well as craved for the boon as desired by his wife.
english translation
vajrAMgastu tadA prItaM mAM dRSTvA sthitaM vibhum ॥ supraNamya bahustutvA varaM vavre priyAhitam ॥ 41 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवज्रांग उवाच॥ सुतं देहि स्वमातुर्मे महाहितकरं प्रभो ॥ महाबलं सुप्रतापं सुसमर्थं तपोनिधिम् ॥४२॥
Vajrāṅga said: O lord, give me a son who will be carrying out what is beneficent to his mother, who will be strong, valorous and efficient, who will be a storehouse of penance.
english translation
vajrAMga uvAca॥ sutaM dehi svamAturme mahAhitakaraM prabho ॥ mahAbalaM supratApaM susamarthaM taponidhim ॥42॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptब्रह्मोवाच॥ इत्याकर्ण्य च तद्वाक्यं तथास्त्वित्यब्रवं मुने ॥ अया स्वधाम तद्दत्त्वा विमनास्सस्मरच्छिवम् ॥४३॥
Brahmā said: On hearing his words, O sage, I said “So be it.” After granting the boon I returned to my abode thinking on Śiva, though a bit distressed.

brahmovAca॥ ityAkarNya ca tadvAkyaM tathAstvityabravaM mune ॥ ayA svadhAma taddattvA vimanAssasmaracchivam ॥43॥
