तौ हतौ विष्णुना दैत्यौ नृसिंहक्रोडरूपतः।। सुदुःखदौ ततो देवाः सुखमापुश्च निर्भयाः।। 2.3.14.१०।।

sanskrit

When these two began to harass the gods, Viṣṇu assumed the forms of Man-lion and Boar and killed them. Then the gods became fearless and happy.

english translation

tau hatau viSNunA daityau nRsiMhakroDarUpataH|| suduHkhadau tato devAH sukhamApuzca nirbhayAH|| 2.3.14.10||
