प्रकृतेः परमोऽसि त्वं यदि सत्यं वचस्तव ॥ तर्हि त्वया न भेतव्यं समीपे मम शंकर ॥२१ ॥
If you are really superior to Prakṛti, if what you say is true, you need not be afraid to be near me, O Śiva.
english translation
॥ ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इत्याकर्ण्य वचस्तस्याः सांख्यशास्त्रोदितं शिवः ॥ वेदांतमतसंस्थो हि वाक्यमूचे शिवां प्रति ॥ २२ ॥
Brahmā said: On hearing these words of Pārvatī based on the Sāṃkhya system, Śiva replied to her, upholding the Vedāntin’s point of view.
english translation
श्रीशिव उवाच ॥ इत्येवं त्वं यदि ब्रूषे गिरिजे सांख्यधारिणी ॥ प्रत्यहं कुरु मे सेवामनिषिद्धां सुभाषिणि ॥ २३ ॥
Lord Śiva said: O Pārvatī, O upholder of the Sāṃkhya system, if you say so, O sweet-voiced lady, you render me unforbidden service every day.
english translation
यद्यहं ब्रह्म निर्लिप्तो मायया परमेश्वरः ॥ वेदांतवेद्यो मायेशस्त्वं करिष्यसि किं तदा ॥ २४ ॥
If I am the Brahman, the supreme lord, unsullied by illusion, comprehensible through spiritual knowledge and the master of illusion what will you do then?
english translation
॥ ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इत्येवमुक्त्वा गिरिजां वाक्यमूचे गिरिं प्रभुः ॥ भक्तानुरंजनकरो भक्तानुग्रहकारकः ॥ २५ ॥
Brahmā said: Having spoken to Pārvatī thus, the lord, the conciliator and the blesser of the devotees spoke to the mountain thus.
