ब्रह्मोवाच ।। वर्द्धमाना गिरेः पुत्री सा शक्ति लोकपूजिता ।। अष्टवर्षा यदा जाता हिमालयगृहे सती ।।१।।

Brahmā said: O Nārada, the daughter of the mountain, honoured in the three worlds, was brought up in the palace of Himācala.

english translation

brahmovAca || varddhamAnA gireH putrI sA zakti lokapUjitA || aSTavarSA yadA jAtA himAlayagRhe satI ||1||
