।। ब्रह्मोवाच ।। इत्याकर्ण्य वचस्ते हि सत्यं मत्त्वा च दम्पती ।। मेना हिमाचलश्चापि दुःखितौ तौ बभूवतुः ।। १२ ।।

sanskrit

Brahmā said: On hearing your words the couple thought them true. Both Menā and Himavat were much distressed.

english translation

|| brahmovAca || ityAkarNya vacaste hi satyaM mattvA ca dampatI || menA himAcalazcApi duHkhitau tau babhUvatuH || 12 ||
