॥ ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इत्याकर्ण्य वचस्ते हि सत्यं मत्त्वा च दम्पती ॥ मेना हिमाचलश्चापि दुःखितौ तौ बभूवतुः ॥ १२ ॥

sanskrit

Brahmā said: On hearing your words the couple thought them true. Both Menā and Himavat were much distressed.

english translation

॥ brahmovAca ॥ ityAkarNya vacaste hi satyaM mattvA ca dampatI ॥ menA himAcalazcApi duHkhitau tau babhUvatuH ॥ 12 ॥
