गतस्तत्र गिरिः प्रीत्या सपुरोहितसद्विजः ॥ ददर्श तनयां तान्तु शोभमानां सुभाससा ॥ ६ ॥
Accompanied by the chief priest and learned brahmins, the lord of mountains came there and saw the child who shone in her lovely clothes.
english translation
gatastatra giriH prItyA sapurohitasadvijaH ॥ dadarza tanayAM tAntu zobhamAnAM subhAsasA ॥ 6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनीलोत्पलदल श्यामां सुद्युतिं सुमनोरमाम् ॥ दृष्ट्वा च तादृशीं कन्यां मुमोदाति गिरीश्वरः ॥ ७ ॥
The lord of mountains rejoiced on seeing the child shining in dark splendour like that of the blue lotus.
english translation
nIlotpaladala zyAmAM sudyutiM sumanoramAm ॥ dRSTvA ca tAdRzIM kanyAM mumodAti girIzvaraH ॥ 7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसर्वे च मुमुदुस्तत्र पौराश्च पुरुषाः स्त्रियः ॥ तदोत्सवो महानासीन्नेदुर्वाद्यानि भूरिशः ॥ ८ ॥
All the citizens there, both men and women, rejoiced much. There were great festivities. Different sorts of musical instruments were played.

sarve ca mumudustatra paurAzca puruSAH striyaH ॥ tadotsavo mahAnAsInnedurvAdyAni bhUrizaH ॥ 8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबभूव मंगलं गानं ननृतुर्वारयोषितः ॥ दानं ददौ द्विजातिभ्यो जातकर्मविधाय च॥९॥
Auspicious songs were sung. The dancing girls exhibited their saltatorial skill. The lord of mountains performed post-natal sacred rites and made charitable gifts to the brahmins.

babhUva maMgalaM gAnaM nanRturvArayoSitaH ॥ dAnaM dadau dvijAtibhyo jAtakarmavidhAya ca॥9॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथ द्वारं समागत्य चकार सुमहोत्सवम्॥ हिमाचलः प्रसन्नात्मा भिक्षुभ्यो द्रविणन्ददौ॥2-3-7-१०॥
Himavat came to the outer gate of the palace and joined the festivities. With a delighted mind he distributed monetary gifts to the beggars.
