अनेन प्रार्थितः पूर्वं यज्ञार्थं च पुनः पुनः ।। दक्षेणाविदितार्थेन कर्मनिष्ठेन मौढ्यतः ।। ५९ ।।

sanskrit

At first I had been requested repeatedly by Dakṣa foolishly, since he is too much addicted to rituals and did not know the true state of facts. He wanted me to protect the sacrifice.

english translation

anena prArthitaH pUrvaM yajJArthaM ca punaH punaH || dakSeNAviditArthena karmaniSThena mauDhyataH || 59 ||
