तप्यते हि तपः सिद्धैरेतद्दर्शनकांक्षिभिः ॥ युज्यते योगिभिर्योगैरेतद्दर्शनकांक्षिभिः ॥१६॥
Penances are performed by the Siddhas who desire to have a vision of Him. Yogic meditations and exercises are performed by Yogins who desire to have a vision of Him.

अनंतधनधान्यानां यागादीनां तथैव च ॥ दर्शनं शंकरस्यैव महत्फलमुदाहृतम् ॥१७॥
Vision of Śiva yields great fruits, endless wealth and foodgrains and the fructification of all sacrifices.

शिव एव जगद्धाता सर्वविद्यापतिः प्रभुः ॥ आदिविद्यावरस्वामी सर्वमंगलमंगलः ॥ १८ ॥
Śiva alone is the creator of the universe, the lord of all lores, the upholder of the primordial learning and the lord, the most auspicious of the auspicious.

तच्छक्तेर्न कृतो यस्मात्सत्करोद्य त्वया खल ॥ अतएवाऽध्वरस्यास्य विनाशो हि भविष्यति ॥१९॥
Since you have not duly respected His Śakti, and since you are wicked, this sacrifice will definitely be destroyed.

अमंगलं भवत्येव पूजार्हाणामपूजया ॥ पूज्यमाना च नासौ हि यतः पूज्यतमा शिवा ॥2-2-31-२०॥
Inauspicious results befall one when those worthy of worship are not worshipped and they are quelled when they are worshipped, since Śivā is the worthiest of all worship.
