तप्यते हि तपः सिद्धैरेतद्दर्शनकांक्षिभिः ॥ युज्यते योगिभिर्योगैरेतद्दर्शनकांक्षिभिः ॥१६॥
Penances are performed by the Siddhas who desire to have a vision of Him. Yogic meditations and exercises are performed by Yogins who desire to have a vision of Him.
english translation
tapyate hi tapaH siddhairetaddarzanakAMkSibhiH ॥ yujyate yogibhiryogairetaddarzanakAMkSibhiH ॥16॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअनंतधनधान्यानां यागादीनां तथैव च ॥ दर्शनं शंकरस्यैव महत्फलमुदाहृतम् ॥१७॥
Vision of Śiva yields great fruits, endless wealth and foodgrains and the fructification of all sacrifices.
english translation
anaMtadhanadhAnyAnAM yAgAdInAM tathaiva ca ॥ darzanaM zaMkarasyaiva mahatphalamudAhRtam ॥17॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशिव एव जगद्धाता सर्वविद्यापतिः प्रभुः ॥ आदिविद्यावरस्वामी सर्वमंगलमंगलः ॥ १८ ॥
Śiva alone is the creator of the universe, the lord of all lores, the upholder of the primordial learning and the lord, the most auspicious of the auspicious.
english translation
ziva eva jagaddhAtA sarvavidyApatiH prabhuH ॥ AdividyAvarasvAmI sarvamaMgalamaMgalaH ॥ 18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतच्छक्तेर्न कृतो यस्मात्सत्करोद्य त्वया खल ॥ अतएवाऽध्वरस्यास्य विनाशो हि भविष्यति ॥१९॥
Since you have not duly respected His Śakti, and since you are wicked, this sacrifice will definitely be destroyed.
english translation
tacchakterna kRto yasmAtsatkarodya tvayA khala ॥ ataevA'dhvarasyAsya vinAzo hi bhaviSyati ॥19॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअमंगलं भवत्येव पूजार्हाणामपूजया ॥ पूज्यमाना च नासौ हि यतः पूज्यतमा शिवा ॥2-2-31-२०॥
Inauspicious results befall one when those worthy of worship are not worshipped and they are quelled when they are worshipped, since Śivā is the worthiest of all worship.

amaMgalaM bhavatyeva pUjArhANAmapUjayA ॥ pUjyamAnA ca nAsau hi yataH pUjyatamA zivA ॥2-2-31-20॥
