यद्वर्षत्यर्थिनश्शीघ्रं लोकस्य शिवआदरात् ॥ भवान् द्रुह्यति मूर्खत्वात्तस्मै चाशेषबंधवे ॥2.2.29.५०॥

sanskrit

That which Lord Shiva swiftly bestows upon the supplicants out of compassion for the world — you, out of ignorance and foolishness, bear hostility toward Him, who is the universal benefactor.

english translation

yadvarSatyarthinazzIghraM lokasya zivaAdarAt ॥ bhavAn druhyati mUrkhatvAttasmai cAzeSabaMdhave ॥2.2.29.50॥
