एते सुरेशा मुनयो महत्तरास्सलोकपालाश्च समागता हि ।। तथापि यज्ञस्तु न शोभते भृशं पिनाकिना तेन महात्मना विना ।।२७।।

sanskrit

Of course, the chiefs of devas, the great sages and the guardians of the quarters have all come. Yet the sacrifice cannot be perfect and complete without the noble-souled, trident-holder Śiva.

english translation

ete surezA munayo mahattarAssalokapAlAzca samAgatA hi || tathApi yajJastu na zobhate bhRzaM pinAkinA tena mahAtmanA vinA ||27||
