दक्ष उवाच ॥ यूयं सर्वे रुद्रगणा वेदबाह्या भवंतु वै ॥ वेदमार्गपरित्यक्तास्तथा त्यक्ता महर्षिभिः ॥२६॥
Dakṣa said: You all, the attendants of Śiva, are expelled from Vedic rites. You will be abandoned by the followers of the Vedic path as well as by great sages.
english translation
पाखंडवादनिरताः शिष्टाचारबहिष्कृताः ॥ मदिरापाननिरता जटा भस्मास्थिधारिणः ॥ २७ ॥
You all will be confirmed heretics, out of the conventions of society. You will indulge in drinking wine. Matted hair, ashes and bones will be your embellishments.
english translation
ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इति शप्तास्तथा तेन दक्षेण शिवकिंकराः ॥ तच्छ्रुत्वातिरुषाविष्टोभवन्नंदी शिवप्रियः॥। ॥ २८॥
Brahmā said:. Thus Śiva’s attendants were cursed by Dakṣa. On hearing that, Nandin the favourite of Śiva became furious.
english translation
प्रत्युवाच द्रुतं पक्षं गर्वितं तं महाखलम् ॥ शिलादतनयो नंदी तेजस्वी शिववल्लभः ॥ २९ ॥
Nandin, the brilliant son of Śilāda and favourite of Śiva, spoke immediately to Dakṣa who was excessively roguish and haughty.

नन्दीश्वर उवाच॥ रे दक्ष शठ दुर्बुद्धे वृथैव शिवकिंकराः ॥ शप्तास्ते ब्रह्मचापल्याच्छिवतत्त्वमजानता ॥2-2-26-३०॥
Nandīśvara said: O roguish wicked Dakṣa, in vain did you curse Śiva’s attendants, you who do not know Śiva’s principles. You have exercised your indiscreet rashness on being a brahmin.
