तत्र तस्थौ सती धाम्नि महाविषण्णमानसा ॥ न बुबोध चरित्रं तत्कश्चिच्च शिवयोर्मुने ॥६१॥

Satī stayed in the abode, overwhelmed by grief. But O sage, no one could guess the conduct of Śiva and Śivā.

tatra tasthau satI dhAmni mahAviSaNNamAnasA ॥ na bubodha caritraM tatkazcicca zivayormune ॥61॥
