तत्र शास्त्रं सयंत्रं हि सपंचाङ्गं महेश्वरः ।। बभाषे महिमानं च तत्तद्दैववरस्य वै ।। ५१ ।।

The sacred lore bearing on the subject, the glory and greatness of the illustrious lord, Śiva explained Himself with Yantras, with their five adjuncts.

english translation

tatra zAstraM sayaMtraM hi sapaMcAGgaM mahezvaraH || babhASe mahimAnaM ca tattaddaivavarasya vai || 51 ||

सेतिहासकथं तेषां भक्तमाहात्म्यमेव च ।। सवर्णाश्रमधर्मांश्च नृपधर्मान् मुनीश्वर ।। ५२ ।।

He told her legendary stories, the greatness of the votaries, the norms of peoples of different castes and stages in life and the duties of kings, O great sage.

english translation

setihAsakathaM teSAM bhaktamAhAtmyameva ca || savarNAzramadharmAMzca nRpadharmAn munIzvara || 52 ||

सुतस्त्रीधर्ममाहात्म्यं वर्णाश्रममनश्वरम् ।। वैद्यशास्त्रं तथा ज्योतिश्शास्त्रं जीवसुखावहम् ।। ५३ ।।

The duties of sons, wives etc. and their greatness, the imperishable system of Varṇas and Āśramas[5], the medical lore, and the astral lore, all beneficent to worldly creatures were explained by him.

english translation

sutastrIdharmamAhAtmyaM varNAzramamanazvaram || vaidyazAstraM tathA jyotizzAstraM jIvasukhAvaham || 53 ||

सामुद्रिकं परं शास्त्रमन्यच्छास्त्राणि भूरिशः ।। कृपां कृत्वा महे शानो वर्णयामास तत्त्वतः ।। ५४ ।।

Out of compassion for her, the great lord explained the science of palmistry and similar other lores to her.

english translation

sAmudrikaM paraM zAstramanyacchAstrANi bhUrizaH || kRpAM kRtvA mahe zAno varNayAmAsa tattvataH || 54 ||

इत्थं त्रिलोकसुखदौ सर्वज्ञौ च सतीशिवौ ।। लोकोपकारकरणधृतसद्गुणविग्रहौ ।। ५५ ।।

Thus, Satī and Śiva, the bestowers of happiness on the three worlds (triloka) and omniscient, [were] the embodiment of good qualities, always engaged in helping the world (lokopakāra).
