ते नवांगे उभे ज्ञेये वर्णिते मुनिभिः प्रिये ॥ वर्णयामि नवांगानि प्रेमतः शृणु दक्षजे ॥ २१ ॥
O beloved, sages have explained that the different kinds of devotion have nine ancillary adjuncts. O daughter of Dakṣa, I shall narrate them to which you listen with love.
english translation
श्रवणं कीर्तनं चैव स्मरणं सेवनं तथा ॥ दास्यं तथार्चनं देवि वंदनं मम सर्वदा ॥ २२ ॥
According to scholars O Goddess, the nine ancillary adjuncts are:—listening, eulogising, remembering, serving, surrendering, worshipping, saluting, friendliness and dedication.

सख्यमात्मार्पणं चेति नवांगानि विदुर्बुधाः ॥ उपांगानि शिवे तस्या बहूनि कथितानि वै ॥ २३ ॥
The wise sages understand the nine aspects of devotion, which are: friendship, self-surrender and others. There are many more auxiliary aspects of devotion to Shiva, which have been described.

शृणु देवि नवांगानां लक्षणानि पृथक्पृथक् ॥ मम भक्तेर्मनो दत्त्वा भक्ति मुक्तिप्रदानि हि ॥ २४ ॥
O Goddess, listen to the separate characteristics of the nine aspects of devotion. By giving your mind to my devotion, they bestow bhakti (devotion) and moksha (liberation).
english translation
कथादेर्नित्यसम्मानं कुर्वन्देहादिभिर्मुदा ॥ स्थिरासनेन तत्पानं यत्तच्छ्रवणमुच्यते ॥ २५ ॥
One should continuously honor the story (of Lord Shiva) with a joyful heart, seated firmly in a proper posture, and drinking it as if it were nectar—this is called the hearing (shravan) of the divine.
