चारु पावकचर्चित्सु सुस्वराश्चूतशालिनः ॥ बभुर्मदनबाणौघपर्यंकमदनावृताः ॥ ३६ ॥
The mango trees and the Śāli plants shining like mild fire shone like the open couches for the flowery arrows of Kāma.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptअंभांसि मलहीनानि रेजुः फुल्लकुशाशयाः ॥ मुनीनामिव चेतांसि प्रव्यक्तज्योतिरुद्गमम् ॥ ३७ ॥
With full-blown lotuses, the pure waters of the lakes shone like the minds of sages wherein the supreme splendour—Ātman is clearly reflected.

aMbhAMsi malahInAni rejuH phullakuzAzayAH ॥ munInAmiva cetAMsi pravyaktajyotirudgamam ॥ 37 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतुषारास्सूर्यरश्मीनां संगमादगमन् बहिः ॥ प्रमत्वानीक्ष्यतेक्षाश्च सलिलीहृदयास्तदा ॥ ३८ ॥
The dew-drops as they came in contact with the rays of the sun turned in vapours like the hearts of the people turning pure in association with the good.

tuSArAssUryarazmInAM saMgamAdagaman bahiH ॥ pramatvAnIkSyatekSAzca salilIhRdayAstadA ॥ 38 ॥

The nights became bright with the moon devoid of mist. Lovely women shone beautifully in the company of their lovers.

prasannAssaha candreNa naniSArAstadA'bhavan ॥ vibhAvaryaH priyeNaivaM kAminyastu manoharAH ॥ 39 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्मिन्काले महादेवस्सह सत्या धरोत्तमे ॥ रेमे स सुचिरं छन्दं निकुंजेषु नदीषु च ॥ 2-2-21-४० ॥
In this atmosphere, on that excellent mountain, Lord Śiva sported about for a long time among the groves, hedges and streams in the company of Satī.
