आपादमस्तकं सम्यक् भस्मनोद्धूल्य सादरम् ॥ सर्वश्रुतिश्रुतं शैवम्मंत्रञ्जप षडक्षरम् ॥६५॥

Dusting profusely and carefully your body from head to foot with the particles of ashes, you shall perform the Japa of the six-syllabled mantra॥ 5॥ of Śiva, well-known in all the Vedas.

english translation

ApAdamastakaM samyak bhasmanoddhUlya sAdaram ॥ sarvazrutizrutaM zaivammaMtraJjapa SaDakSaram ॥65॥
