भवंति भस्मसाद्वृक्षादवदग्धा यथा वने ॥ तथा भवंति दग्धानि शांकराणामघान्यपि ॥2-1-4-६०॥
Just as trees in the forest are reduced to ashes in the wild fire so also the sins of the devotees of Śiva are burnt away in the fire of Śiva’s name.
