धावमानो विप्रयोगो मामेव च सतीं प्रति ॥ अभिहंति सुरज्येष्ठ त्यक्त्वान्यां प्राणधारिणीम् ॥ ६ ॥
This anxiety of separation, O eldest of devas, running between Satī and me attacks only me, leaving the other, the woman, who very well sustains her life.
english translation
सतीति सततं ब्रह्मन् वद कार्यं करोम्यहम् ॥ अभेदान्मम सा प्राप्या तद्विधे क्रियतां तथा ॥ ७ ॥
O Brahmā, respect the name Satī. Let me do what shall be done. She is not different from me. She has to be attained by me. O Brahmā, act accordingly.

ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इति रुद्रोक्तवचनं लोकाचारसुगर्भितम् ॥ श्रुत्वाहं नारदमुने सांत्वयन्नगदं शिवम् ॥ ८ ॥
Brahmā said: O sage Nārada, on hearing the words of Śiva best speaking of His strict adherence to the conventions of the world I told Śiva, consoling Him.

ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ सत्यर्थं यन्मम सुतो वदति स्म वृषध्वज ॥ तच्छ्रणुष्व निजासाध्य सिद्धमित्यवधारय ॥ ९ ॥
Brahmā said: O bull-emblemed God, hear what my son told me regarding Satī. Rest assured that what you wanted to achieve has been achieved.

देया तस्मै मया पुत्री तदर्थं परिकल्पिता ॥ ममाभीष्टमिदं कार्यं त्वद्वाक्यादधिकं पुनः ॥ 2-2-18-१० ॥
Dakṣa has said “My daughter shall go to Him. She has been intended for Him. This has been my desire.” Now that you also say, it is all the more necessary that it shall be carried out.
