ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इति पृष्टस्स्वपुत्रेण दक्षेण मुनिसत्तम ॥ विहसन्नब्रुवं वाक्यं मोदयंस्तं प्रजापतिम् ॥ ५८ ॥

Brahmā said: O excellent sage, being asked thus by my son Dakṣa, I spoke with a smile thereby delighting Dakṣa, the lord of the subjects.

brahmovAca ॥ iti pRSTassvaputreNa dakSeNa munisattama ॥ vihasannabruvaM vAkyaM modayaMstaM prajApatim ॥ 58 ॥
