देवा ऊचुः ।। नमो भगवते तुभ्यं यत एतच्चराचरम् ।। पुरुषाय महेशाय परेशाय महात्मने ।।३६।।

sanskrit

The Devas said: Obeisance to Thee, O lord, from whom the mobile and the immobile beings have originated. Obeisance to the great Puruṣa, Maheśa, the supreme Īśa and the great Ātman.

english translation

devA UcuH || namo bhagavate tubhyaM yata etaccarAcaram || puruSAya mahezAya parezAya mahAtmane ||36||

आदिबीजाय सर्वेषां चिद्रूपाय पराय च ।। ब्रह्मणे निर्विकाराय प्रकृतेः पुरुषस्य च ।।३७।।

Obeisance to the primordial seed of every one, the Cidrūpa (one possessed of the form of consciousness), the Puruṣa beyond Prakṛti.

english translation

AdibIjAya sarveSAM cidrUpAya parAya ca || brahmaNe nirvikArAya prakRteH puruSasya ca ||37||

य इदं प्रतिपंच्येदं येनेदं विचकास्ति हि ।। यस्मादिदं यतश्चेदं यस्येदं त्वं च यत्नतः ।।३८।।

Obeisance to Thee who createst this world, by whom this is illuminated, from whom this originated, by whom this is sustained, to whom this belongs and by whom everything is kept under control.

english translation

ya idaM pratipaMcyedaM yenedaM vicakAsti hi || yasmAdidaM yatazcedaM yasyedaM tvaM ca yatnataH ||38||

योस्मात्परस्माच्च परो निर्विकारी महाप्रभुः ।। ईक्षते यस्स्वात्मनीदं तं नताः स्म स्वयंभुवम् ।। ३९ ।।

We bow to that self-born deity who is beyond this and everything that is great, who is the undepraved great lord, who sees these within Himself.

yosmAtparasmAcca paro nirvikArI mahAprabhuH || IkSate yassvAtmanIdaM taM natAH sma svayaMbhuvam || 39 ||

We have sought refuge at His feet who is the supreme Brahman, who is the soul of everyone, who is the greatest witness with unbarred vision and who assumes various forms.

aviddhadRk paraH sAkSI sarvAtmA 'nekarUpadhRk || AtmabhUtaH parabrahma tapaMtaM zaraNaM gatAH || 2.2.15.40 ||
