हरे गृहीतकांते तु कथं सृष्टिश्शुभावहा ।। आद्यंतमध्ये चैतस्य हेतौ तस्मिन्विरागिणि ।।२७।।

Śiva is the cause of this universe in the beginning, middle and end. If He remains detached and refuses to take a wife, how can auspicious creation come into being?

hare gRhItakAMte tu kathaM sRSTizzubhAvahA || AdyaMtamadhye caitasya hetau tasminvirAgiNi ||27||
