यदा हि सगुणो जातस्स्वेच्छया निर्गुणश्शिवः ।। मामुत्पाद्य ततस्त्वां च स्वशक्त्या सुविहारकृत् ।। 2.2.10.५० ।।

sanskrit

When Śiva devoid of attributes became, out of His own accord, full of attributes, He created me first and then you with His own power in the course of His divine sport. The lord Śiva assigned to you the work of creation.

english translation

yadA hi saguNo jAtassvecchayA nirguNazzivaH || mAmutpAdya tatastvAM ca svazaktyA suvihArakRt || 2.2.10.50 ||
