एवं मौनतपस्याख्या ब्रह्मचर्यफलप्रदा ॥ सर्वाभीष्टप्रदा देवि सत्यंसत्यं न संशयः ॥ ६६ ॥
This is called the penance of silence. It yields all the benefits of celibate life. O lady, it confers all cherished desires. True, it is certainly true.
english translation
evaM maunatapasyAkhyA brahmacaryaphalapradA ॥ sarvAbhISTapradA devi satyaMsatyaM na saMzayaH ॥ 66 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं चित्ते समुद्दिश्य कामं चिंतय शंकरम् ॥ स ते प्रसन्न इष्टार्थमचिरादेव दास्यति ॥ ६७ ॥
Thinking thus in your mind, O lady, you meditate on Śiva. If He is pleased He will confer on you all you wish, ere long.
english translation
evaM citte samuddizya kAmaM ciMtaya zaMkaram ॥ sa te prasanna iSTArthamacirAdeva dAsyati ॥ 67 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptब्रह्मोवाच ॥ उपविश्य वसिष्ठोथ संध्यायै तपसः क्रियाम् ॥ तामाभाष्य यथान्यायं तत्रैवांतर्दधे मुनिः ॥ ६८ ॥
Brahmā said: Vasiṣṭha then sat and explained to Sandhyā the rites of the penance. The sage then vanished from the scene.
english translation
brahmovAca ॥ upavizya vasiSThotha saMdhyAyai tapasaH kriyAm ॥ tAmAbhASya yathAnyAyaM tatraivAMtardadhe muniH ॥ 68 ॥
