अभूतपूर्वं तत्कर्म पूर्व मृत्युं विमृश्य सा ।। युष्माकमात्मनश्चापि प्राणान्संत्यक्तुमिच्छति ।।३८।।

Though not expressed and though not personified, your action then is considered by her as her first death. Now she wishes to put an end to her life.

abhUtapUrvaM tatkarma pUrva mRtyuM vimRzya sA || yuSmAkamAtmanazcApi prANAnsaMtyaktumicchati ||38||
