इति संचिंत्य रुद्रोऽसौ शिवेच्छां गंतुमुत्सुकः ।। ननाद तत्र ढक्कां स्वां सुगतिं नादरूपिणीम् ।। ६ ।।

sanskrit

Thinking thus, Rudra, desirous of carrying out the wish of Śiva (the supreme Brahman) sounded his drum that gave out the divine Nāda.

english translation

iti saMciMtya rudro'sau zivecchAM gaMtumutsukaH || nanAda tatra DhakkAM svAM sugatiM nAdarUpiNIm || 6 ||
