आस्तां पुरा महादैत्यो विदलोत्पलसंज्ञकौ ।। अपुंवध्यौ महावीरौ सुदृप्तौ वरतो विधेः ।।२।।

sanskrit

Formerly there were two great Daityas—Vidala and Utpala. They were great heroes, puffed up by the boon from Brahmā that they could not be slain by a man.

english translation

AstAM purA mahAdaityo vidalotpalasaMjJakau || apuMvadhyau mahAvIrau sudRptau varato vidheH ||2||
