प्रोतस्तेन त्रिशूलेन स च दैत्यो गजासुरः ।। छत्रीकृतमिवात्मानं मन्यमाना जगौ हरम् ।। 2.5.57.५० ।।

When the trident pierced through his body, the Daitya Gajāsura thought that he was raised up like an umbrella. He then sang the glory of Śiva.

english translation

protastena trizUlena sa ca daityo gajAsuraH || chatrIkRtamivAtmAnaM manyamAnA jagau haram || 2.5.57.50 ||
