सत्त्वं रजस्तमोधर्ममधर्मं वासवानुजम् ॥ सत्यं त्वसत्यं सद्रूपमसद्रूपमहेतुकम् ॥ १६॥
He embodies truth, falsehood, reality, and unreality, all causes and effects. He is the source of the qualities of sattva, rajas, and tamas, and is the younger brother of Vasava (Indra).
english translation
sattvaM rajastamodharmamadharmaM vAsavAnujam ॥ satyaM tvasatyaM sadrUpamasadrUpamahetukam ॥ 16॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअर्द्धनारीश्वरं भानुं भानुकोटिशतप्रभम् ॥ यज्ञं यज्ञपतिं रुद्रमीशानं वरदं शिवम् ॥ १७॥
He is the half-male and half-female lord, the sun, and the luminous lord of ten million rays. He is the sacrifice, the lord of sacrifices, Rudra, the lord of Shiva, and the bestower of boons.
english translation
arddhanArIzvaraM bhAnuM bhAnukoTizataprabham ॥ yajJaM yajJapatiM rudramIzAnaM varadaM zivam ॥ 17॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअष्टोत्तरशतं ह्येतन्मूर्तीनां परमात्मनः ॥ शिवस्य दानवो ध्यायन्मुक्तस्तस्मान्महाभयात् ॥ १८ ॥
There are indeed 108 such forms of the supreme being Shiva. Those who meditate on these forms are freed from all fear and attain liberation.

aSTottarazataM hyetanmUrtInAM paramAtmanaH ॥ zivasya dAnavo dhyAyanmuktastasmAnmahAbhayAt ॥ 18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदिव्येनामृतवर्षेण सोऽभिषिक्तः कपर्दिना ॥ तुष्टेन मोचितं तस्माच्छूलाग्रादवरोपितः ॥ १९॥
He was drenched with the divine shower of nectar by lord Śiva who was perfectly satisfied. He was brought from the top of the trident and released.

divyenAmRtavarSeNa so'bhiSiktaH kapardinA ॥ tuSTena mocitaM tasmAcchUlAgrAdavaropitaH ॥ 19॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउक्तश्चाथ महादैत्यो महेशानेन सोंऽधकः ॥ असुरस्सांत्वपूर्वं यत्कृतं सर्वं महात्मना ॥2-5-49-२० ॥
He spoke to the Asura Andhaka, the great Daitya. The great lord forgave what the demon had done before.
