रणमध्ये व्योमवचः श्रुत्वा देवेन शंभुना॥ प्रेरितश्शंखचूडस्य गृहीत्वा कवचं परम्॥४॥
On hearing the aerial voice in the course of the war and urged by lord Śiva, Viṣṇu carried off the excellent armour of Śaṅkhacūḍa assuming the guise of a brahmin, rapidly, by having recourse to his Māyā.
