पुरा त्वं पाषर्दो गोपो गोपेष्वेव च धार्मिकः ।। अधुना राधिकाशापाज्जातस्त्वं दानवेश्वरः ।।१८।।

sanskrit

In previous birth you were a cowherd and an attendant of Kṛṣṇa. Among the cowherds you were virtuous. As a result of Rādhā’s curse, you are born as Dānava and have become the king of Dānavas.

english translation

purA tvaM pASardo gopo gopeSveva ca dhArmikaH || adhunA rAdhikAzApAjjAtastvaM dAnavezvaraH ||18||
