असृजं त्वां तदोत्संगाच्छायायाः कर्दमं मुनिम् ॥ संकल्पादसृजं धर्मं सर्वसाधनसाधनम् ॥६॥
I created you, the sage Kardama, from the union of Shāyā (the divine energy or shadow), And from my will, I created Dharma, the instrument for all success in the world.
english translation
asRjaM tvAM tadotsaMgAcchAyAyAH kardamaM munim ॥ saMkalpAdasRjaM dharmaM sarvasAdhanasAdhanam ॥6॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवमेतानहं सृष्ट्वा कृतार्थस्साधकोत्तमान् ॥ अभवं मुनिशार्दूल महादेवप्रसादतः ॥ ७ ॥
Having created these beings, I became fulfilled (with purpose), the best of the spiritual achievers, I became this way, O best of sages, by the blessings of Mahādeva (Shiva).
english translation
evametAnahaM sRSTvA kRtArthassAdhakottamAn ॥ abhavaM munizArdUla mahAdevaprasAdataH ॥ 7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततो मदाज्ञया तात धर्मः संकल्पसंभवः ॥ मानवं रूपमापन्नस्साधकैस्तु प्रवर्तितः ॥८॥
Then, O dear one, Dharma, born out of my conception assumed the form of Manu at my bidding and was engaged in activity by the aspirants.
english translation
tato madAjJayA tAta dharmaH saMkalpasaMbhavaH ॥ mAnavaM rUpamApannassAdhakaistu pravartitaH ॥8॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततोऽसृजं स्वगात्रेभ्यो विविधेभ्योऽमितान्सुतान् ॥ सुरासुरादिकांस्तेभ्यो दत्त्वा तां तां तनुं मुने ॥९॥
Then I created from the different parts of my body innumerable sons, Suras (devas) and Asuras (demons) and many others after assigning them different bodies, O sage.

tato'sRjaM svagAtrebhyo vividhebhyo'mitAnsutAn ॥ surAsurAdikAMstebhyo dattvA tAM tAM tanuM mune ॥9॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततोऽहं शंकरेणाथ प्रेरितोंऽतर्गतेन ह ॥ द्विधा कृत्वात्मनो देहं द्विरूपश्चाभवं मुने ॥ 2-1-16-१० ॥
I was then prompted by Śiva present within me and hence, O sage, I split myself into two having assumed two forms.

tato'haM zaMkareNAtha preritoM'targatena ha ॥ dvidhA kRtvAtmano dehaM dvirUpazcAbhavaM mune ॥ 2-1-16-10 ॥
