जलंधर उवाच ॥ यदि भावुक तुष्टोऽसि वरमे तन्ददस्व मे ॥ मद्भगिन्या मया सार्धं मद्गेहे सगणो वस ॥ ४१ ॥
Jalandhara said: O Brother-in-law, if you are pleased give me this boon. You stay in my house with all your followers, my sister and myself.
english translation
सनत्कुमार उवाच ॥ ॥ तदाकर्ण्य वचस्तस्य महादैत्यस्य खिन्नधीः॥ तथास्त्विति च देवेशो जगाद भगवान् हरिः ॥४२॥
Sanatkumāra said: On hearing these words of the great Asura, lord Viṣṇu, the lord of gods, said distressingly—“So be it.”
english translation
उवास स ततो विष्णुस्सर्वदेवगणैस्सह॥ जलंधरं नाम पुरमागत्य रमया सह ॥ ४३ ॥
Then Viṣṇu came to the city called Jalandhara[1] along with his followers, the gods and Lakṣmī.

अथो जलंधरो दैत्यस्स्वभगिन्या च विष्णुना ॥ उवास स्वालयं प्राप्तो हर्षाकुलितमानसः ॥ ४४ ॥
Then the Asura Jalandhara returned to his abode and stayed very delightedly in the company of his sister and Viṣṇu.
english translation
जलंधरोऽथ देवानामधिकारेषु दानवान् ॥ स्थापयित्वा सहर्षस्सन्पुनरागान्महीतलम् ॥४५॥
Thereafter Jalandhara appointed Asuras in the authoritative posts of the gods. Joyously he returned to the Earth.
