वैकारिकस्तृतीयश्च इत्येते प्रकृतास्त्रयः ॥ एवं चाष्टविधास्सर्गाः प्रकृतेर्वेकृतैः सह ॥४६॥
The third was Vaikārika of the nature of transformations and ramifications). Thus with five Vaikṛta types and three later Prākṛtas there were eight types of creation.

vaikArikastRtIyazca ityete prakRtAstrayaH ॥ evaM cASTavidhAssargAH prakRtervekRtaiH saha ॥46॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकौमारो नवमः प्रोक्तः प्राकृतो वैकृतश्च सः ॥ एषामवांतरो भेदो मया वक्तुं न शक्यते ॥ ४७ ॥
The Kaumāra Sarga was the ninth. It was both Prākṛta and Vaikṛta. I cannot adequately describe the divisions and sub-divisions of all these types of creation.

kaumAro navamaH proktaH prAkRto vaikRtazca saH ॥ eSAmavAMtaro bhedo mayA vaktuM na zakyate ॥ 47 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअल्पत्वादुपयोगस्य वच्मि सर्गं द्विजात्मकम् ॥ कौमारः सनकादीनां यत्र सर्गो महानभूत् ॥ ४८ ॥
Last of all, I shall mention the brahminical creation which is of very little utility. It is here that the great creation of Sanaka and others, referred to above as Kaumāra Sarga, took shape.

alpatvAdupayogasya vacmi sargaM dvijAtmakam ॥ kaumAraH sanakAdInAM yatra sargo mahAnabhUt ॥ 48 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसनकाद्याः सुता मे हि मानसा ब्रह्मसंमिताः ॥ महावैराग्यसंपन्ना अभवन्पंच सुव्रताः ॥ ४९ ॥
Sanaka and others, my mental sons, were five॥ 9॥ in number. They were all on a par with Brahman, of good rites and averse to worldly attachment.

sanakAdyAH sutA me hi mAnasA brahmasaMmitAH ॥ mahAvairAgyasaMpannA abhavanpaMca suvratAH ॥ 49 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमयाज्ञप्ता अपि च ते संसारविमुखा बुधाः ॥ शिवध्यानैकमनसो न सृष्टौ चक्रिरे मतिम् ॥ 2-1-15-५० ॥
Despite my command they were not inclined to carry on the activities of creation; those scholarly sons turned their attention from worldly activities and were devoted to the exclusive meditation on Śiva.
