ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ हंसस्य चोर्द्ध्वगमने गतिर्भवति निश्चला ॥ तत्त्वातत्त्वविवेकोऽस्ति जलदुग्धविभागवत् ॥ 2.1.15.१० ॥

Brahmā said: The swan has the power of going up steadily. It has the power of discriminating between the real and the unreal as in separating milk from water.

english translation

brahmovAca ॥ haMsasya corddhvagamane gatirbhavati nizcalA ॥ tattvAtattvaviveko'sti jaladugdhavibhAgavat ॥ 2.1.15.10 ॥
